Today is the seventh annual World Testicle Cooking Championship! Which means people from far and wide are gathered in the Serbian village of Ozrem to enjoy some tasty nuts! This year’s favorite is none other than bull testicle cooked goulash style! A host of different balls were available at the Championship; some were even rolled in bacon! Most were cooked by contestants in a metal pot over a wood fire. The associated Press had this to say about the affair…  

“The festival…includes dishes like testicle pizza and testicles in bechamel sauce flavored with a variety of herbs found in the region”.  

“Visitors eat the dishes with plenty of wine or beer and cool themselves in a small mountain river that flows beside the makeshift cooking stands, blasting folk music. The stalls also sell roasted pig or lamb, ‘as a side dish'”.  

This is the first and hopefully the last time I have to Google “testicles”; this is not what I signed up for. I don’t think I’ll eat for days, certainly not anything round at least. I honestly almost puked collecting these photos – Kid Chronic
