European scientists are still running studies with their Hadron Collider today, creating fireballs hotter than the Sun’s core. Scientists at the European Organization for Nuclear Research created the hottest temperatures since the big bang in their search for the “god particle.” According to the Telegraph, one scientist said, “This process took place in a safe, controlled environment generating incredibly hot and dense subatomic fireballs with temperatures of over ten trillion degrees – a million times hotter than the center of the Sun.” This is all part of ongoing studies in which scientists are trying to recreate the big bang in a controlled environment; sounds safe doesn’t it?
