Rule Number 1: Never rob the Presidents home boy!

Kal Penn, the actor who plays Kumar in “White Castle”, was robbed at gunpoint a few nights ago in Washington DC.

The robbery took place at 1:20 a.m. in a local DC neighborhood where Penn was walking. After brandishing his weapon, the robber took the young actor’s wallet and personal effects, including his two cell phones.

There was only one catch with the caper, as one of the cell phones is property of the U.S. government. Penn is currently a member of President Obama’s staff, serving as the Associate Director in the Office of Public Engagement.

Soon after the robbery, Penn reported the crime to the authorities and the White House communications team, who issued him a new phone. Not however, before notifying the Secret Service who have now joined the Metro DC police department in search of the suspect.

Bad luck for that guy; now let’s all go get White Castle!
