The Buffalo Bills will hold onto Tyrod Taylor after the quarterback agrees to restructure his contract.
All the signs were pointing to the Bills releasing Taylor as they were divided on whether or not to keep him. Adam Schefter reported earlier this morning that it was more likely that the Bills were to release him than to keep him. With the quarterback market not great in free agency and the draft being weak at best, the Bills elected to bring him back.
“We are excited about the opportunity to keep Tyrod with the Bills,” McDermott said in a statement. “I’ve gotten a chance to know Tyrod and study him over the past several weeks and he is both a great person and competitor. Doug and I are confident this was best move for the Bills at this time.”
The terms of the restructure have not yet been released.
