Today brings us to the fourteenth week in football and man has it been a wild year. Most of the top dogs from last year are dissipating into the barely anything. However, this season has brought upon a lot of surprises and upsets. From the new quarterbacks that have taken the lead of teams we’ve known for a long time. To kickers getting replaced on a weekly basis. This year has been an up and down rollercoaster of American football emotion. Let’s take a look at what this year has brought us, and what the fight for the Superbowl may bring us.
Teams at the Top
League divisions are coming to the apex of the season. Whatever happens now will separate the champions from losers. Many teams have already been discounted from even coming close to the playoffs. Whereas, the New Orleans Saints have already won their division. With the New England Patriots being upset by the Houston Texans, the Buffalo Bills are looking more and more advantageous towards their division. The Ravens with “this year’s Patrick Mahomes,” Lamar Jackson, have basically clinched the division unless the lose out. Which is very unlikely with the power playing that they been showing. The Wild Card teams are fighting for their lives right now as well.
Bottom of the Barrel and Superbowl Preview?
On the other hand, there are already teams that have been disqualified from even the Wild Card. Six teams, Miami Dolphins, Cincinnati Bengals, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants have all been eliminated from any hopes of the playoffs. However, if you saw quite possibly the game of the year last week between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers, then you may have already witness the Superbowl preview. Although, currently the Seattle Seahawks are winning the NFC West against the San Francisco 49ers because of the upset two weeks ago. The rest of the season is on the line in the next coming weeks and its going to be incredible!
