The Cocoa Research Association came forward today saying that the world is consuming way more chocolate than it’s producing. This means that we are on our way to running out of Willy Wonka river water. They say in years to come chocolate will be rare and expensive. The CRA went on to say that cocoa is very hard to harvest, so farmers often switch to easier crops or different professions all together, which is also part of the problem. Even the Nature Conservative Research Center rang in on the subject saying that ” In 20 years chocolate will be like caviar. It will be so rare and so expensive that the average Joe just wont be able to afford it”. The date for the expected run out, 20 years from today.
