Rex Ryan has found a new home for the upcoming football season.
It is being reported that former Jets and Bills head coach Rex Ryan and ESPN have come to terms on a contract that will see Ryan appear on NFL Sunday Countdown.
It’s unclear whether Rex’s arrival means that someone else will be out. Richard Deitsch of SI.com recently reported that ESPN will be slashing from the payroll in the coming months “tens of millions” in salary paid to “staffers many viewers and readers will recognize.” Persons with expiring contracts are “particularly vulnerable.”
One thing is for sure is that Ryan is made for TV. It has been rumored that he would be interested in TV once his time in the NFL was up. Don’t go thinking we have seen the last of Rex on the sidelines though. This may just be temporary.
