President Obama was on the receiving end of an elbow playing basketball in the White House yesterday with staff and family. The President was apparently playing defense against Rey Decerega, director of programmes for Hispanic Caucus Institute. Decerega said the game was friendly and all in good fun, so he didn’t have to apologize. He also went on to say that “I learned today the President is both a tough competitor and a good sport. I enjoyed playing basketball with him this morning. I’m sure he’ll be back out on the court again soon.” The President was treated by the White House Medical Unit, which gave him smaller stitches than usual to decrease the chance of scarring.
