A drive-by shooting in northwest Miami-Dade killed one man and left another in critical condition. Miami-Dade Police said the vehicle shot at the men as they stood outside their home Sunday afternoon. Investigators scoured for evidence from the home near one end of N.W. 27th Street to the Bravo Supermarket at the other end of the street at 30th Avenue.
Ivis Castro, 23 and Danny Hernandez, 28 were both shot, police do not have a reason for the shootings. Castro died on scene while Hernandez was taken to the hospital. Store owner Bryan Reyes recounted, “The guy came limping and he walked up toward the counter and after he reached the counter he was begging for help. Once he turns around he collapsed. And he pulls over his shirt and then you see the gunshot wound. That’s when I went to the back to grab napkins and compress to stop the bleeding.”
