Just a few days after we reported that psycho/alcoholic Mel Gibson was to appear in ‘The Hangover 2’ as a tattoo artist, here comes news that he is out and Bradley Cooper ‘A-Team’ buddy Liam Neeson is in. Word is that a certain cast member wasn’t exactly feeling Mel.

Some recent comments from ‘hilarious Hangover’ star, Zach Galifianakis (FAT JESUS) seem to indicate that he was the angry party. Speaking on the Comedy Death Ray podcast last week, Galifianakis said: “A movie you’re acting in, you don’t have a lot of control — you just show up and vomit your lines out. I’m not the boss. I’m in a deep protest right now with a movie I’m working on, up in arms about something. But I can’t get the guys to [listen] … I’m not making any leeway.”

When pressed for details, the 41-year-old comic star wouldn’t identify ‘The Hangover 2’ or Mel Gibson by name, but added: “It has something to do with a movie I’m working on, yeah. I’ll tell you about it later. It’s very frustrating.”

The only official word so far on Gibson’s dismissal has come from director Todd Philips. “I thought Mel would have been great in the movie and I had the full backing of Jeff Robinov and his team. But I realize filmmaking is a collaborative effort, and this decision ultimately did not have the full support of my entire cast and crew.”

Treez : I love Zach, and I was on his bandwagon WAY before ‘The Hangover’ (See his DVD “Live at the Purple Onion” but this kinda surprises me. Obviously casting Mel would be a bit controversial, but that is a good thing. I look forward to hearing why Zach didn’t want this, cuz I have no idea why??
