There’s no drama at the very top of Thursday night’s NFL Draft. Even if they haven’t said so publicly, the whole world knows the Los Angeles Rams are taking Cal QB Jared Goff with the No. 1 overall pick and that the Eagles are taking North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz at No. 2.
The fun begins after that.
The Chargers are set to pick third, and according to odds posted at Betfair (via oddschecker.com), Ole Miss left tackle Laremy Tunsil is the less-than-even money favorite at 10/11, followed by Florida State cornerback Jalen Ramsey at 23/20. Ohio State defensive end is Joey Bosa 12/1 to be the third pick, and the field is 7/2.
The first running back off the board is expected to be Ezekiel Elliott, and Ladbrokes has the over/under on the Ohio State prospect set at 10.5. ‘Under’ seems to be the play here, with the Cowboys reportedly very interested in him at No. 4 (even if Dallas trades down, it’s unlikely they’d go further than No. 10), and the Giants hearing some noise to nab him at No. 10 if he’s still available.
