Momma said knock you out!

Mike Tyson, the former heavyweight boxing champ, was arrested November 11th at Los Angeles International Airport for (what else?) punching a photographer in the face. Iron Mike was reportedly at the United Airlines ticket counter at LAX when a paparazzo approached him. There are conflicting reports about what happened next. Police say that there are eyewitnesses to support both sides of the story, but one thing is certain: the photographer – who was also arrested – got way close for Tyson’s comfort. The photog (whose name wasn’t immediately released) claims the champ punched him in the face while he was trying to get film out of his case. Tyson says the paparazzo hit him as a provocation. After the heavyweight punch, the photographer hit the ground, then got up and stumbled away, trailing blood through the terminal. When police arrived, both men attempted to perform citizen’s arrests on each other. Tyson was taken to county jail in the back of a squad car while the photographer was taken to a hospital, where he received multiple stitches in his forehead. Tyson’s spokesman says the former champ was with his daughter at the time and that he was acting in self defense. Both men where charged with misdemeanor battery.
