I am guessing Adam Bloom does not follow Facebook closely otherwise he would have never been the latest men hated on Facebook after a viral video of him was posted online. In the video, Bloom challenged a black family’s use of a private community pool. The video which has over 4 million views, Bloom calls the police on the black family because he did not believe that they lived in an area that would allow them access to the pool.

Jasmine Edwards recorded the entire encounter, she accuses Bloom of singling her out and her young son as African-Americans by asking to see her ID. Bloom, who served as the chairman of the pool, responds that he asks residents to see their identification “a couple times” each week. The police determined that since Edwards had a key card with access to the pool that there was no issue. The officer apologized to her but when Edwards asked Bloom for an apology he just walked away.

“This is a classic case of racial profiling in my half a million $$ neighborhood pool. This happened to me and my baby today. What a shame!!” Edwards expressed on Facebook.

Since Edward’s video went viral, thousands of people have commented calling Bloom out as a “racist” who was “profiling neighbors.” Well, people are pretty passionate about assholes on Facebook, so someone found out where Bloom worked and reached out to his company letting them know exactly who they have working there. In a Twitter post, the South-Carolina-based Sonoco apologized to Edwards and said the situation doesn’t reflect their company values.

A company spokesman Brian Risinger than made a statement, “We are aware of a terrible incident involving the actions of one of our employees outside the workplace. That employee is no longer employed by the company in any respect.” The Glenridge Homeowners Association said Thursday afternoon that Bloom resigned as the pool’s chairman and association board member.

This, of course, isn’t the first time someone has been vilified on Facebook after a video of them being a-holes are posted online. Just recently Alison Ettel aka “Permit Patty” got a taste of what Bloom is going through. Ettel attempted to call the police on an 8-year-old African American girl for selling water bottles on the street because she did not have a permit. Ettel’s video ended up affecting her weed dispensary business and she had to step down as the CEO.

Next, we have a South Carolina woman who was charged with assault after she was recorded hitting a teenager at a neighborhood pool and then assaulting deputies when they tried to arrest her. She has been named as Pool Patrol Paula who is also a Rodan + Fields independent consultant, well not anymore. Again social media haters took to Facebook and asked Rodan + Fields to take action against Pool Patrol Paula and they did. The company announced that they had cut ties with her.

And what about the racist lawyer in New York. Aaron Schlossberg went viral after going on a racist rant and threatening to call immigration enforcement on Spanish-speaking workers in a New York City restaurant. He has since issued an apology but not before being let go from his law firm.

So many examples of white people who can’t mind their own business, hopefully, this last incident will be a lesson for all. If you are going to be an asshole and let yourself be recorded, be prepared to be hated by American and maybe even be fired from your job, you have been warned!
