Johnston: bearing secrets; baring skin

Sarah Palin came close to standing behind the bully pulpit of the vice presidency. But now it’s Levi Johnston’s turn. The ‘baby daddy’ of the failed vice-presidential candidate’s grandson confesses that he’s looking for revenge, and that he has dirt to dish about Alaska’s former governor. “If she’s gonna say things about me, I’m gonna leak things about her,” he said during an interview that aired October 28th on the “CBS Early Show.” Saying, “now it’s my turn,” 19-year-old Johnston told co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez he’s been hurt by things Palin has said about him, and that she’s been “fake.” “I’m just not going to take it anymore,” Johnston said. “That’s just how it is.”

The interview on CBS aired the same day it was revealed Palin received $1.25 million in a book deal for her autobiography, “Going Rogue.” The father of Bristol Palin’s son Tripp started going public on Alaska’s first family’s secrets in the October issue of Vanity Fair. Johnston alleged that Palin described the governor’s office as being “too hard,” and said she would adopt Tripp in order to hide Bristol’s embarrassing teen pregnancy. Johnston will reveal more than family secrets next month in Playgirl magazine: he plans a full-frontal photo spread. Speaking to US magazine, Johnston said, “I just get naked. That’s what I do.”
