Kate Upton just hit the trifecta.

Twice, in fact.

The 24-year old beauty graces the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for the third time.

And SI has published three different versions of the cover. Upton is on all three.

Upton announced the news on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” Tuesday night. The issue hits newsstands Wednesday.

Kimmel claimed on the show that Upton had yet to actually see the covers. Then, he showed her and his audience a cover featuring Upton buried to her neck in sand. That wasn’t the real cover.

Next, he showed a cover featuring his pal Guillermo. Also, not the real cover.

Finally, an image of the real cover was projected on the side of the Empire State Building.

“Is that really a swimsuit that you’re wearing, because it seems just like a hammock they got torn to bits?” Kimmel asked.

“I’m pretty sure that’s just a rope,” she replied.

Wednesday morning, Upton was on the Today show, where she said she didn’t find out she was on her first Swimsuit Issue cover in 2012 until she was in the green room before her appearance on the David Letterman show.

Today show host Matt Lauer guessed Upton must have been pleased to go to Fiji for her SI photo shoot – she was in Antarctica for last year’s issue.

Check her out in Fiji!

Upton said this year’s cover is extra special to her, “because of what the issue is all about, having women of every shape and size and beauty in every age and every way.”

To that end, Swimsuit Issue legend Christie Brinkley, now 63 but still hot, is also featured in the issue, along with her two daughters.

During the Brinkleys’ Today show segment, Christie’s daughter Sailor talked about body image issues she faced as a little girl, when she was a bit – pardon our political incorrectness – chubby.

“Growing up as any young girl, you deal with body image issues and you deal with seeing people on billboards that have these tiny bodies and these perfect airbrushed figures and you look at yourself growing up and you go through these awkward phases and you don’t feel good enough and I definitely didn’t,” Sailor said.

We find this ironic. Wasn’t her air-brushed mom among the culprits? And maybe they shouldn’t have posed her provocatively as a such a young, chubby (again, our profuse apologies) girl.
