Katie McLaughlin is the ex-wife of Jared Fogle, the former Subway spokesman who was found guilty of possessing and distributing child pornography and “commercial sex acts with a minor.”  CBS This Morning interview McLaughlin asking her how she found out about her ex-husband’s sex crimes against minors. McLaughlin says she knew nothing about her ex-husband affairs until the FBI came to their Zionsville, Indiana home, “They walked in and you’re just in shock. I didn’t understand any of it to be honest. I mean you just- float out of yourself because the FBI shouldn’t be at your house.”

McLaughin divorced the ex-spokesman and was awarded sole custody of her two children with Fogle. Now she is suing Subway, alleging the company knew about Fogle’s interest in children since 2004 but they never did anything about it.

The lawsuit states that Subway knew about Fogle’s sexual interest in children but kept featuring him in their ads. According to the suit, Subway received reports regarding Fogle on three different occasions but never said anything to authorities. “Finding out that Subway did not act upon at least one complaint while continuing to utilize Jared as their spokesperson and facilitate his visits to those hundreds of schools is beyond comprehension,” McLaughlin told reporters during a press conference on Monday.

Subway sent a public relations employee to question Fogle about allegations in two of the reports, according to the lawsuit. Fogle denied the accusations. The lawsuit says the company admitted the third report about Fogle was “not properly escalated or acted upon.”

McLaughlin, accuses the company of negligence, invasion of privacy via misappropriation of likeness and intentional infliction of emotional distress, among other counts.

Fogle was convicted and sentenced last year to 16 years in prison.
