Trump’s boycott of the GOP debate at Fox News in Des Moines, IA may not be detrimental to his campaign at all.

Fox held the latest GOP debate in Iowa on Thursday night, and Donald Trump was defiantly not in attendance. Fox News said in a statement that chairman Roger Ailes spoke with Donald Trump three times before Thursday night’s debate. The statement said Trump offered to scrap his boycott plans if Fox News donated $5 million to his veterans charities. Fox News denied the request because it “could not engage in a quid pro quo.”

CBS News political director and “Face the Nation” moderator John Dickerson joins “CBS This Morning” from New Hampshire to discuss how Donald Trump’s absence from the Fox New Republican debate Thursday night affects the primary race.
