EAST ORANGE — A 19-year-old Seton Hall student is in grave condition and another two students remain hospitalized after an unknown shooter opened fire at an off-campus house party just after midnight this morning, authorities said. In total five people — three Seton Hall University students, one student from NJIT in Newark, and another person from New York City — were injured in the attack at a rented apartment on South Clinton Street, near South Orange Avenue, about a half mile from the university’s campus.

Officials from Seton Hall University did not return calls this morning. East Orange Police Director Jose Cordero said the shooter had tried to crash the party and got into an altercation when he was turned away.

A short time later, the man returned with a weapon, entered the party and started shooting, Cordero said. The man then ran away and remains at large.

When I was younger, back in 10th grade I brought Kid Chronic to a party and was told that it wasn’t cool to bring strangers around. I promptly said, OK and got up and left. Thats cause the Kid was new in town and the guy was jealous that his prong was bigger.  But anywho, I didn’t care. I just found another party to crash or I made my own. Theres always more to a story than meets the eye.  This has to be some sort of retaliation, a girlfriend drama, or he was on drugs. Either way, getting denied access to a party isnt enough to make a man open fire.
