Zana Hadid, 65 died at a Miami hospital from a heart attack. Hadid was a famed architect known for her amazing works around the work, Iraqi-born, British Hadid was the first woman to win the Pritzker award, the highest award in architecture.
Hadid’s work is also in Miami at the “One Thousand Museum” that is under construction in downtown. The building was Hadid’s first luxury, residential skyscraper project in the western hemisphere.
Developers with the One Thousand Museum released a statement saying, “The world has just lost an amazing woman with unequaled talent. Our heartfelt condolences go to her family, friends and colleagues. We are extremely honored to have known and worked with Zaha and we will continue to honor her vision.”
