Tonight at 8:30 p.m. at Revolution Live in Ft. Lauderdale is REAL Hip Hop at its finest. Brooklyn will be fully represented when the 15 Year Anniversary Tour of Duck Down Records hits South Florida. On the bill: Buckshot, Smif N Wessum, Sean Price, Pharoahe Monch, Skyzoo, D. Schwartz with all music being handled by DJ Evil Dee (is on the mix).

If you don’t know, the Boot Camp Clik has ben killing them in Brooklyn for years now. Raw lyricism, sick beats, and ill flow is what separated this Clik from the others. Buckshot made his mark with Black Moon. Enta da Stage is a bonafied classic yielding gems, “Who Got da Props”, “Buck Em Down”, “I Got cha Opin”, “How Many MC’s”, and “U da Man”. The group had its issues and never released anything that touched the level this first CD did.

Smif N Wessun had a signature sound as they were not only lyrical but had a street griminess that others wish they had. What made them stand apart on the CD “Da Shinin” was the Jamaican accents that they possessed on the mic.

Add to the bill, Underground Hip Hop Kings, Sean Price and Pharoahe Monch and you have what is going to be a show, the real headz will remember.
