One can never complain about more “Big Bang Theory.”

CBS has officially given a series order for “The Big Bang Theory” spinoff “Young Sheldon.”  The half-hour single cam, currently with an unspecified number of episodes ordered, will premiere in the 2017-18 season.

Created by Chuck Lorre and Steven Molaro, the series follows “The Big Bang Theory’s” Sheldon Cooper at age 9, living with his family in East Texas and going to high school.

Iain Armitage will be playing a  9-year-old Sheldon Cooper — played by Jim Parsons on “Big Bang” — as well as Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Raegan Revord and Montana Jordan.

CBS is reportedly very close to renewing “Big Bang Theory” for two more seasons, contract negotiations have been held up as melissa Rauch and Maylim Bialik who are looking to receive raises. A renewal would take the popular comedy into its 11th and 12th seasons.
