The Cincinnati Bengals are in the middle of a youth movement at there linebacker position and have released there long time starter.
Starting linebacker Rey Maualuga has been released by the Bengals after spending his entire career there. Drafted in 2009 in the second round out of USC, maualuga had become a staple point at the linebacker position for the past eight seasons.
The Bengals added former Cardinals linebacker Kevin Minter a week ago. Maualuga, 30, is coming off a season in which he started a career-low six of 14 games played. In all, he started 104 of 114 games for Cincinnati, racking up 580 tackles, four sacks, seven interceptions and six forced fumbles.
Maualuga will certainly find another team to call home this upcoming season.
