So I found this old fight between a successful bare knuckle boxer and a heavyweight boxing professional.
Since a UFC fighter has never fought a professional boxer before, this I figure is as close as we can get to the Floyd Mayweather Vs. Conor McGregor Super Fight coming up on August 26th. This particular fight below is between undefeated British Bare Knuckle Champ Joe Savage and professional boxer Smokin Bert Cooper. Savage had previously challenged all the top pro boxers to fight him in a boxing match including Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, and Reddick Bowe. They all turned him down. Cooper however, excepted his challenge.
Now, we all know that UFC is the fighting sport of the future and boxing is the fighting sport of the past. But, if this past boxing match is any bit of a tell of future events at all. Then Conor McGregor is going to have a long night at the office on August 26th.
This actually sucks for me because I’m betting heavy on McGregor. He has youth on his side and the odds are great if you’re betting on him. I never miss an opportunity to take the bookies to the cleaners! If McGregor connects and somehow manages to knock Mayweather out. Then it’s going to be one heck of a payday for the McGregor betters. So that’s going to be my bet for the Super Fight.
Betting on long shots is a never a bad idea. If they come in, you win big. If they lose, you lose small. Check the odds on McGregor wining in the first three rounds, they are through the roof! That’s where I’m going to put my money. You’re welcome gamblers!
