B.o.B. is RED-HOT right now. The Georgia rapper will be coming to South Florida and doing his thing at Revolution Live on August 24th @ 8 P.M. Bobby Ray Simmons Jr. aka B.o.B. has two huge cuts that got serious radio play. “Nothin’ on You (Babe) with Bruno Mars, and “Airplanes” with Hayley Williams of Paramore. That song also had a sick remix with Eminem dropping his own bars. While both were big hits in the U.S. (Nothin’ on You hit #1), both actually went to number one in the U.K.
For those that don’t know B.o.B.’s rise, it didn’t just happen overnight. He put his grind in. Being from the Atlanta area, B.O.B. was put down with Outkast. His name is a play off of the Outkast smash ‘Bombs Over Baghdad’. His work has paid off, and it is now Bobby Ray’s time.
His debut album, B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, was originally slated for release on May 25, 2010. It was pushed up to April 27, 2010 due to the overwhelming commercial success of “Nothin’ on You”. The album was released under Grand Hustle and includes features from artists as diverse as Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Playboy Tre, Hayley Williams (of Paramore), Rivers Cuomo (of Weezer), Rico Barrino, Janelle Monáe, Bruno Mars, and Eminem.
The CD was given generally positive reviews. The CD sold 84,000 copies in the first week and debuted of #1 on the Billboard 200. It made B.o.B the 13th male solo artist to have a debut album at #1 on its first week. Pretty Impressive!
This is his first major tour, where he is the headliner. Get down to Revolution Live now and get your tickets!
