It’s that time of year again. The World Series of Major League Baseball is almost upon us. That being said, it brings us to the big match off between these two monsters of a team. A rivalry is born again as the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros battle it up in the American League Championship Series. This will be for the second time in just three short years. Be prepared for a battle of the year as these two teams face off for their chance at the Commissioner’s Trophy.
North and South Battle for the Pennant
These two teams know each other quite well as they step up again to face off in the ALCS after a two-year grudge has been brewing. Last time they met the Yankees suffered a tough loss in a full seven game series. Nevertheless, two years later they’re back up to the plate for another shot at the Pennant. It was 2009 when the Yankees went to the World Series last, and they plan on doing so again after battling it out in this long-awaited grudge match.
Bombers Vs Aces of the American
The bombers are going to have a hard time facing up against one of, if not the best, pitching rotation left standing. The Astros have a monstrous pitching offensive with Justin Verlander, Gerrit Cole and Zack Greinke awaiting their shot at the Yankees. However, the Yankees have proved that they are the bruisers people know them as. Taking a demanding win in the first game with a seven-run shut out. Houston was not deterred though, as they secured their first win in the series in game two. This one went all the way to the bottom of the eleventh inning. That was until Carlos Correa drilled a walk-off home run to end the game. If these first two games are even a preview of what this series is going to look like, then we’re in for another battle down to the seventh game. Keep your eye’s peeled and PLAY BALL!
