I used to bang her!

A-Rod can finally breathe a sigh of relief. He has FINALLY hit his milestone 600th home run. It couldn’t come any faster. Rodriguez went 9 for 46 after homering on July 22 (number 599). It was the longest stretch between Nos. 599 and 600 for any of the seven players to actually reach the mark. He was hitless in his last 17 at-bats.

There is no doubt Alex was pressing. He was tired of the questions, the speculation and the overall discussions about his not getting the 600th shot everyday. I personally saw that it was front page sports news that he was making New Yorkers wait too long, and it was just his 2nd day at 599!!!“It was a relief just to put it past me,” he said. “There’s no question I was pressing ’cause I wanted to get it out-of-the-way.”

He became the youngest player to attain the ‘600’ mark. Remarkably, he did it exactly three years to the day after his 500th homer. Interestingly, Barry Bonds chimed in on the home run news. Bonds posted a message on his website, welcoming A-Rod to the 600-homer club. Bonds says he hopes Rodriguez stays healthy and focused, telling A-Rod that “you only have 163 to go.”

Rodriguez joins Barry Bonds, Hank Aaron, Babe Ruth, Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr. and Sammy Sosa as the head of the home run class.

As if his $275 million contract was not enough cash to spread around the clubs and suck on strippers’ toes, (he has a notorious foot fetish) A-Rod can earn up to $30 million more for five milestone homers: $6 million each for tying Mays, Ruth, Aaron and Bonds, and $6 million more for breaking the record. Nice!!!!
