Serena Williams isn’t letting anything get her down, not even John McEnroe’s claim that if she played on the men’s tour she would “be like 700 in the world.” Williams who has had 23 grand slam single titles and the only woman in Forbes’ list of the world’s 100 highest paid athletes in 2017, announced she was expecting her first baby in April with Alexis Ohanian, the co-founder of the website Reddit.

The stunning athlete who has won an estimated $84 million on the court recently posed for the cover of Vanity Fair, showing her firm, growing body!

The 35-year-old tennis star found out she was pregnant right before the Australian Open in January. “‘Oh my God, this can’t be—I’ve got to play a tournament,” Williams said to Vanity Fair. “How am I going to play the Australian Open? I had planned on winning Wimbledon this year.'”

Williams went on to win the Australian Open, she will return to the tour next year after giving birth! As for John McEnroe’s statement she reacted by saying, “Dear John, I adore and respect you but please please keep me out of your statements that are not factually based. I’ve never played anyone ranked ‘there’ nor do I have time. Respect me and my privacy as I’m trying to have a baby. Good day sir.” McEnroe has not apologized for his statement, and frankly we don’t think Serena cares as she is still killing it and McEnroe is a washed up tennis player!
