The show “Veronica Mars” was recently cancelled much to the cult fan base’s anguish. The show was loved by many. Looper reports that the show Veronica Mars put a fresh spin on the TV mystery genre. Rob Thomas created the show and was a fiction writer. He made sure to combine noir and Nancy Drew. The show ran for three seasons on CW and years later the show was successfully crowd funded as a movie and came back for a final showing. The real reason why Veronica Mars was cancelled was low ratings.

TV shows are businesses and if a show doesn’t have enough viewers then it isn’t worth the investment. The viewership was only 2.5 million viewers and the network tried to do everything they could. One main problem that corporate created was that they put the show at the same time as American Idol during the height of its popularity. Veronica Mars could not compete against a show like that.
