What could be more terrible than going to the bank only to find out your precious goods are now just shards of memories. Mixed emotions overwhelm the locals as they arrived to the bank and were greeted by yellow tapes and police officers, and a card for them to call the number written on it.

The officials investigated and found out that the robbers cut a hole through the roof of Maspeth Federal Savings located on Woodhaven Blvd. Most of the content inside the deposit boxes were taken and the boxes were left empty on the roof.

Peter Biondo, one of the local residents, helped his upset cousin to get any information if one of the empty boxes belonged to him. “It makes you feel lost and it’s not a very comfortable place to be.” He said.

“I have to wait and I have valuables in the vault. Or had.” Said one of the frustrated senior locals.

Maspeth Federal Savings released a statement to its customers saying they are keeping their customers informed while working with the police.
