The New York Jets have found a quarterback to come in and compete with Bryce Petty and Christian Hackenberg.
Josh McCown has signed a one year deal to come and play for the New York Jets this upcoming season.
McCown who is 37 years old, knows that the Jets give him the best chance to start. The contract works for both sides seeing that the Jets needed a veteran presence as they develop their younger players, and McCown wants a chance to get some playing time before he hangs up his cleats.
The 37-year-old McCown started three games for the Browns last year and appeared as a backup in two others. He threw six touchdown passes and six interceptions and had a passer rating of 72.3.
