The eight year Jay Cutler experiment has come to an end effective today.
Jay Cutler, who has been the up and down quarterback for the Chicago Bears for the past eight seasons has officially been released today.
Cutler became expendable when the Bears decided it was time for a change and signed free agent Mike Glennon, the back up in Tampa Bay.
Glennon signed a 3 year deal that will average around $14.5 million years per year.
Now that Cutler has been released he is free to sign with any team that is interested in his services. So far only one team is interested and that is the New York Jets. The Jets are in rebuild mode and Cutler may not be interested in joining a team that is not set up to compete right now.
